PYRAMID BARN

Pyramidal barns are part of the Berrichon peasant heritage. This one dates from the 15th century. It was dismantled, moved and then reassembled to be visited. The particularity of these barns is that they have no bearing walls. Their sides are supported by beams that meet in a high pointed ridge. Impressive by their shapes and the height of their ridge (up to 15 meters), they are unique in France. They were used to store straw, fodder, carts, cattle and cereals. It is a whole memory of the peasant life.
