A local Normandy shop that smells of apples, Camembert and teurgoule... A nice little store with a warm welcome and great local products! Ideally located at the start of the busy Rue Saint-Pierre, whether you're just passing through or a full-time resident, you won't want to miss out. Inside, you'll find an anthology of products made in Normandy: cookies, honeys, tripe, rillettes, all washed down with cider, perry, pommeau, wine, whisky (from Breuil-en-Auge), beer and the traditional Calvados. This place is simply perfect for eating, relaxing, socialising and even working. At La Mie Paulette, we are not only in a bakery, but in a real place of life where we feel at home. Pauline and Franck knew how to make these 500^m2 warm, and our visit at Christmas literally made us travel. As for the artisanal products, breads, cakes, and their specialty "Trobons" of Alice are already a treat for the eyes. Not to mention the pizzas cooked in an oven from Verona!

It's still a favourite! A cellar in the countryside, nestled in an undergrowth. A stone house, a stream, a small bridge... We linger before passing the wrought iron door. The cachet of the place is as much admired as the number of bottles wisely lined up. An eye on the calvados, rums and whiskies with 500 labels. Housed in an old half-timbered farmhouse (^17th-18th centuries) surrounded by a rose garden and kitchen garden, Pressoir d'Or comprises a farm, a 27-hectare orchard and a cellar. In the cellar, you'll have the opportunity to discover the tools used in the past to process apples. On foot, by tractor or by coach, immerse yourself in the passionate world of this producer and discover the different ways to enjoy apples: in cider, in apple juice, but also in the form of jellies, jams or preserves...

Some people can travel dozens of kilometres to get it: we are talking about the real, unique Belval-Gare sausage. The butcher's shop offers, in addition to particularly delicious meats and cold cuts, a sausage made on the spot, whose ancestral recipe with onions gives it an incomparable flavour. Tasting them is a small pleasure that you will not forget. Finally, note that a second store exists in Coutances, near the city centre.

Since 1957 when it was established in Louviers, Maison Clet has never stopped thinking bigger. It can now be found at numbers 4 to 8 of the same street, in a sumptuous and spacious space that offers a wide range of wines and spirits and all the best of the delicatessen. In addition to the thousand wines on offer, you will find nearly four hundred whiskies, rums, cognacs and calvados to suit all tastes, as well as a fine selection of foies gras, truffles, chocolates, jams, teas... Norman products are naturally given pride of place.

Away from the small village of Triqueville, the Jaouen family has been cultivating a 14-hectare orchard for 25 years, where about 9,500 apple trees are perfectly aligned. A lot of work was needed to get the farm back on its feet, especially after the war and the passage of the Germans, but this challenge did not scare the Jaouen couple, who were determined to change their lives.

A challenge won since today, the Domaine de Ponctey, like a Norman bocage overlooking the valley, is gaining in reputation while working its 9 varieties of apples in accordance with the history and authenticity of the farm. Last but not least, its Normandy AOC pommel (3 years old and over) won the gold medal at the 2018 General Agricultural Competition.

The apple trees, all carefully replanted by the Jaouen family upon arrival at Le Ponctey, now deliver their delicious fruits picked, sorted by hand and then transformed into pure juice and pure fruit farm cider, into exquisite pommeau or even into calvados aged in oak casks. In a shop, in an old stable, the gourmet aesthete will also be seduced by products that combine know-how and tradition, such as unfiltered cider vinegar in the traditional way, but also original creations such as homemade apple jelly, which goes perfectly with foie gras, and a surprising cider brandy, which will delight mixologists in their quest for new products. Apple juice, a natural product with no added water or sugar, is added, made in the house. An apple art, according to the Jaouen family, to discover!

Beer enthusiasts all know this place with an easy-to-remember name: Beerz. Here, no less than 500 references of beer, 30 of cider, and about twenty references of spirits are proposed to you by Christelle, the mistress of the place. It is possible to taste on the spot, inside or on the terrace, with or without boards. The place, which aims to be a beer academy, also proposes workshops around the famous beverage, all in an educational and pleasant atmosphere. A choice and advice of great quality, we validate!

Pasquier & Co, welcome to Anaïs and Fabian! Breads, viennoiseries, but also modern, homemade cakes and creative proposals. You'll find panettone, éclair au chocolat, poire Tatin, tarti'Brest and Pomme Surprise. This shortbread tart, filled with a brunoise of fruit paste and hazelnut cream, is topped with white chocolate ganache and applesauce. The whole is decorated with vanilla chantilly and a little gold leaf on top. This cake, created for their appearance on M6, is a real treat!

First and foremost, it's a feast for the eyes: this splendid fishmonger's in the heart of Granville offers you all the wonders of the sea. But Frésil Marée also offers magnificent seafood platters (with several options to choose from). As you'll have gathered, Frésil Marée is one of the town's leading restaurants, with a catering service that includes seafood paella, stuffed prawns and other seafood dishes available on the spot or to order. A benchmark.

This is the temple of wines and spirits in Granville: the Maison du Vin, which bears its name well, offers hundreds of references. Wine productions of course, but also whiskies, rums, sometimes rare spirits, there is no lack of anything here. The place is vast, the opening hours wide, and the advice here is not an empty word. Parking is easy and practical. Of course, the shop offers a wide range of services for your private events, be it weddings, banquets or other receptions.

After a long period on Rouen's left bank, Au Coeur des Vignes moved to Bonsecours a few years ago. The store still offers a superb selection of wines from all regions of France. Although it specialises more in Rhône and Languedoc, the shopkeeper readily admits to having a weakness for Burgundy, and increasingly for the Loire. His selection of over 200 wines caters for all budgets, as he also knows how to find local wines at affordable prices.

The Biscuiterie de Quinéville in Saint-Vaast, with its pretty store stocked daily, offers not only wonderful cakes, but also a number of local products that we love. There's also a tea room where you can enjoy pastries overlooking the harbour. We particularly like the terrace in summer. Special mention for the caramels, some of the best in the area. Give in to temptation and you'll never regret it!

It's the whooping cough of the moment. Mazzoni is a know-how mastered by two young people who have just settled in and are hitting the ground running. Their creation, Le Pebble, is all the rage: grey like those on the beach just a stone's throw away, but so tasty. May he who has never committed the sin of greediness throw away the first pebble! You can enjoy it on the spot, in a deliciously old-fashioned and white setting, where you can take everything with you...

In early 2020, during the first confinement, a new project was born in Commes in the Bessin region, between Bayeux and the D-Day beaches. L'Arbre, an agri-cultural third place, is the result of the strong ties that exist in the small commune. From now on, one and the same place will bring together agriculture and culture. Inspiring!

On the agricultural side: Le Jardin de Deux'Main. A word of advice: take the time to stroll and smell the countryside before heading off to Port-en-Bessin. Stop off at Guillaume's! Passion and love, agroecology, no-till market gardening on living soil, agroforestry and permaculture are just some of the ingredients of his philosophy, and of his nearly three hectares of garden. The result: tasty fruit and vegetables. The market gardener is just like his garden: both delicate and generous. And don't forget the fresh eggs from his mini-farm. Direct sales every Tuesday and Friday.

On the cultural side: Tiers-Lieu L'Arbre. A place open to all (workshops, gatherings and events online). A perfect stopover for cyclists following the Vélomaritime or the cycle route from the D-Day landing beaches to Mont-Saint-Michel, the farm also offers self-catering accommodation. Guests share the communal living areas, cooking and eating together! And soon, a large auditorium, an associative café and a coworking space will see the light of day! It's an innovative place that advocates a collective approach: one to watch, as it evolves at great speed.

Wheat flour crushed on a stone millstone, farm baguettes, breads, pastries, cookies... Le Moulin de Thibo et Caro is all this at the same time. And we come from far away for this address which smells good the fresh crusty bread, just out of the oven. Moreover, on nice days, you can picnic there. Step by step, our two young farmers-bakers have made their business grow, climbing the steps of their ladder (of miller, of course!) by dint of work and talent.
