How to get there

Jemaâ el-Fna, the souks and the palace of Bahia

Steps: Marrakech

Immerse yourself directly in the atmosphere of the Medina: have breakfast on one of the terraces of the Jemaâ el-Fna square. This is the best place to discover the liveliness of the square! Once your stomach is full, go see the Koutoubia and its magnificent rose garden and then take a short walk around this famous square, which has been classified as an oral and intangible heritage of humanity since 2001. It is time to enter the heart of Marrakech: the souks are yours! Stroll through this huge Ali Baba cave of 20 ha. In the afternoon, access the Mellah, the Jewish quarter of the Medina, through the Place des Ferblantiers. Then head towards the Bahia Palace to discover a residence worthy of the Thousand and One Nights

Ben Youssef district, Guéliz and hammam

Steps: Marrakech

Head north to the north of the Medina and pass the Spice Square. On this side, the Médersa Ben Youssef, a magnificent Koranic school, will be your first stop. Then take a look at the Almoravid Quba, the last remnant of the eponymous dynasty, and the Ben Youssef Mosque, which are a stone's throw away. The nearby Marrakech Museum is also worth a visit: this 19th century palace, restored to its original state, will give you a good insight into the dexterity of Moroccan craftsmen. In the afternoon, stroll through the Majorelle garden. Don't forget to visit the Berber Art Museum located in the garden, it contains more than 600 Berber objects from Pierre Bergé's personal collections. After all these efforts, a hammam will be well deserved. To end the day in style, take a carriage ride around the ramparts and the city!
