To start your stay in Marrakech, treat yourself to a hearty breakfast at the Pâtisserie des Princes. Take a short walk on the mythical square and then go to the Koutoubia esplanade to admire its 77 m high minaret. Then join the artisanal center of Mohammed-V Avenue and start going to the souks! Stroll through its labyrinthine alleys, observe the colours and smell the scents of spices. After that first day, your legs will certainly be tired. It is time to relax in a local hammam or to have a massage in one of the spas of the Kasbah.

Discovery of monuments and local crafts

You can spend this day in the south of the Medina and visit some of the emblematic monuments of the red city. Take the path to the Mellah to discover the Bahia Palace and continue to the Dar Si Said Museum where Marrakchi handicrafts are superbly represented. Then go and discover the Kasbah. Finish your afternoon at the el-Badii Palace, which took more than 25 years to build!

A day under the sign of art

Want to shop to start this new day? Take a taxi and drive to Sidi Ghanem. This industrial area is home to several designer showrooms. Then take a taxi back to visit a haven of peace: the Majorelle garden. The painter's former villa-atelier now houses a Berber Art Museum, not to be missed under any circumstances! At sunset, take a carriage tour of the ramparts and book your table in one of these great restaurants: La Tanjia on the side of the Place des Ferblantiers or La Fassia in Guéliz.

Shopping and relaxation day
Steps: Marrakech
Join the Ben Youssef district to visit the superb 14th century Koranic school. Then continue to the Marrakech Museum and the Quba Almoravid. Head towards Place des Épices to enjoy the terrace of one of the many cafés. Depending on your desire (and your energy!), you can spend your afternoon visiting the popular district of Bab Aylen or Bab Doukkala or refine your negotiating skills in the souks. If relaxation is your only refrain, go read a book in a deckchair on the Red Beach or ride a horse in the Palm grove

Excursion around Marrakech
Remember to escape the Marrakchi uproar! Nature lovers and lovers of contrasts will choose the high and majestic Ouzoud waterfalls, the Takerkoust dam with its lake dominated by the heights of the Atlas or the Ourika valley, punctuated by earthen villages. Hiking enthusiasts will head for the small traditional villages at the foot of Toubkal (Ouirgane, Imli...) and only 2h30 from Marrakech. A trip to the heart of the Atlas Mountains, where Berber traditions have remained intact. Return to Marrakech in the evening.
