Day 1: Arrival in Boston
Steps: Boston
Arrival in Boston is usually late in the day. If you are not too tired, take the opportunity to go out for a drink in Back Bay or Downtown
Day 2: Freedom Trail and North End
Steps: Boston
The next day, take the Freedom Trail to learn more about the city and its history. Be sure to stop in the North End for lunch. In the evening, dine in the South End for a more trendy atmosphere

Day 3: Boston museums and shopping
Steps: Gardner, Boston, Cambridge
The third day will be dedicated to the visit of two great museums, the MFA and Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. A shopping break on Newbury Street is also possible. Spend the evening in Cambridge, discovering the student atmosphere of its pubs and walking around the Harvard campus by night.

Day 4: Plymouth and the history of the Mayflower
Steps: Plymouth
Head south and stop in Plymouth. This is the historic town where the Mayflower docked in 1620, and don't miss the Plimoth Plantation for a trip down memory lane.

Day 5: Cape Cod
Steps: Provincetown
A few dozen miles south, you're on Cape Cod. Enjoy the sea air on beautiful bike rides between the ocean and the salt marshes. Don't forget to say hello to the whales offshore on a short cruise. And eat the first of many lobsters in Provincetown or one of the many Cape Town villages.
Day 6: The islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket
Take the ferry to one of the two islands, Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket, true jewels of the state. You will be seduced by their beautiful beaches and charming villages. It is possible in summer to go from one island to the other by ferry.
Day 7: Newport and Providence
Steps: Providence, Newport
Return to the mainland and continue on to Newport, Rhode Island, for a peaceful day in this charming town, surrounded by the shadows of stately homes. Spend the evening in Providence, the state capital and most vibrant city.
Day 8: New Haven and Yale University
Head back down the coast to New Haven, Connecticut to visit the campus of Yale University. At the end of the day, make a detour to Hartford and the Mark Twain Museum.
Day 9: Entering Vermont via Brattelboro
Take Route 91 and head straight up to Brattelboro, the gateway to Vermont. A day of art awaits you here. This charming, colorful village has many art galleries and regular festivals.
Day 10: Green Mountains
Steps: Rutland, Burlington
Drive through Vermont 's Green Mountains on Route 7 and enjoy the beautiful scenery, the small, colorful tree-lined roads and the white church steeples of picturesque villages. You can stop in Rutland for the night or continue on to Burlington.
Day 11: Burlington and Stowe
Steps: Stowe, Waterbury, Burlington
Explore Burlington and then head to Stowe, one of the country's most famous ski resorts. Depending on the season, hiking or powder skiing awaits you! In the evening, why not dine in one of Waterbury 's chic restaurants?
Day 12: Montpelier and the Mad River Valley
Steps: Waitsfield, Montpelier
This is an opportunity to discover Montpelier, the state capital, and to get into the Mad River Valley. The region offers local cuisine using local products and a variety of outdoor activities.
Day 13: Franconia, in the heart of the White Mountains
Steps: Franconia, Mount Washington State Park
Passing through the village of St. Johnsbury, reach New Hampshire and its beautiful White Mountains. Take advantage of the many hiking opportunities for all levels to get lost in the beautiful forests. If time and legs permit, climb Mount Washington, the highest peak in the northeastern United States, for a splendid panorama. Sleep at Franconia Notch.
Day 14: Lincoln and Woodstock in the White Mountains
Steps: Lincoln, Lincoln, Woodstock
Head out for a nice drive to Flume Gorge, then down to Lincoln and Woodstock, two pretty villages in the White Mountains.

Day 15: Kancamagus Highway scenic route
Steps: Lincoln, Lincoln, Wolfeboro, North Conway
Take the Kancamagus Highway from Lincoln through the southern part of the park to North Conway. The famous Kancamagus Highway is a must-see as it captures the beauty of this area at this time of year. In the evening, drive to Wolfeboro on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee.

Day 16: Around Lake Winnipesaukee
Take advantage of one of the nautical activities of the lake, or take the tour by car to discover the different villages.
Day 17: Discovering the beautiful Portland
Steps: Portland
Head to Portland, Maine and spend the day in this beautiful port city for a smooth return to civilization! The city is also known for its gastronomy.
Day 18: Camden and Rockland, the look of a fishing village
Head north to Camden, passing through Rockland and its Farnsworth Museum. Kayak and bike to enjoy beautiful scenery with the ocean as a backdrop. Spend the evening in Camden, enjoying the seaside atmosphere of this charming fishing village.
Day 19: Acadia National Park, a Maine treasure
Steps: Acadia National Park
Drive north again to discoverAcadia National Park, Maine's treasure, on Mount Desert Island. It's the perfect place to reconnect with the majesty of Mother Nature and become contemplative again.
Day 20: Portsmouth, on the New Hampshire coast
Steps: Portsmouth
It will take you one morning to reach Portsmouth, the only coastal town in the state of New Hampshire. The afternoon will be devoted to visiting the town, including its beautiful Georgian houses and the Strawberry Banke Museum.
Day 21: Last stop in Cape Elizabeth or Salem
Steps: Salem, Rockport, Boston, Gloucester, Cape Elizabeth
If you have a late flight, you have two options before reaching Boston airport. Either spend the morning in Rockport and Gloucester on Cape Elizabeth, to prolong the fishing village atmosphere, or go to Salem, to discover the town of witches and the history of the famous trial. Arrive in Boston in the early afternoon.
