Stay : Ecotourism in the Holy Land

Israel's flora and fauna are very diverse, thanks to a climate that varies greatly from region to region. The preservation and the reconstitution of this fauna and flora are part of the challenges ofIsrael since the creation of the State. Thus, from north to south, the country is punctuated with protected reserves inviting you to go for a walk, making it a real paradise for bird watching.

Day 1: Hula Valley

Heading to northeast Israel for a two-day ecological escape to Galilee. This lurch will first take you into the sumptuous Hula Valley and its lake, which attracts an exceptional birdlife, especially in spring and autumn, during the migratory movements of many species to and from Africa and Asia

Day 2: The Galilee

Steps: Qatzrin, Mount Hermonit, Banias Nature Reserve

You will benefit from being in the region to visit the choice: Tel Dan reserve where lush Vegetation houses a unique Geology and Archaeological Remains; the Baniyas site on Mount Hermon, near one of the sources of the Jordan river; the shredded landscapes of Gamla; or the Naturelle nature reserve and its basaltic organs.

Day 3: Lake de Tiberias and Kfar Ruppiner

Cape in the south, with a stopover on the shores of Lake Tiberias, also known as the Galilee Sea. Its fresh water and hot springs are renowned for their therapeutic benefits, so we recommend a small restorative break here. After lunch, direction Kfar Ruppiner for a small ornithological observation session. Like the Hula valley, Kfar Ruppiner and its vast water plans is a place to stop on the migratory routes of many birds.

Day 4: Soreq Caves and Dead Sea

Steps: Jérusalem

Continue south towards Jerusalem to reach the Judean Mountains, where the famous Soreq Caves nestle, known as one of the most beautiful stalactite caves on the planet! In the afternoon, head for the shores of the Dead Sea, leaving Jerusalem behind you to test the amazing sensation of floating in its waters: their density is such that the human body cannot sink into them

Day 5: Ein Gedi Reserve

Steps: Ein Gedi

Walk along the western shore of the Dead Sea to the beautiful Ein Gedi Reserve and its oasis-like atmosphere. You can admire its tropical gardens, and why not swim in its natural basins where fresh water cascades flow. Then enjoy a second evening by the Dead Sea

Day 6: Negev Desert

Steps: Mitzpe Ramon

A little more than two hours drive south, you find yourself in the middle of the Negev desert. Just after Mitzpe Ramon you enter the park of the Ramon crater : here you will have the opportunity to discover the amazing geology of this desert in the center of the country.

Day 7: Safari in Hai Bar

Now continue your descent south via the Arava Valley to Hai Bar Reserve and its wildlife park. During a safari, you can observe some almost extinct species such as the Arabian oryx or the African ostrich. Then drive the forty kilometres that separate you from Eliat to spend the evening by the sea.
