From Saint Georges to Ouanary
Steps: Ouanary
09:30: Welcome by your orange-shirted guide in front of Saint Georges church and start of the City Tour.
10:00 am: Embark for Ouanary by pirogue, with a stop en route to visit an inselberg, the village of Tampack or Trois Palétuviers, depending on weather and tide.
Noon: Enjoy a local lunch prepared by the GBT team by the river, suitable for all diets.
Afternoon: Arrive in Ouanary, settle into your carbet or gîte and visit the village.
Evening: Dinner prepared by the GBT team or at a restaurant in Ouanary, followed by a free evening. Overnight in a hammock at the Ouanary carbet or gite.
Hike to Chute d'Eau
Steps: Ouanary
07:00: Breakfast at the carbet or gîte to get the day off to a good start.
08:00: Departure for a hike to the waterfall, with explanations of the local flora and fauna (5 to 6h round trip).
13:00: Picnic on site, relaxation and swimming in the waterfall.
4:00 pm - Evening: Return to Ouanary for a free evening, followed by dinner prepared by the GBT team or at a local restaurant. Overnight in a hammock at the Ouanary carbet or gite.
Ascent of Mont de l'Observatoire and Return
Steps: Ouanary
08:30: Breakfast at the carbet or gite.
09:30: Hike up Observatory Mountain, offering breathtaking views of the estuary and canopy.
11:30 am: Return to town via the Chemin des Abattis or the Chemin de l'Ascension.
1:00 pm: Lunch with local flavors prepared by the GBT team or at Ouanary's restaurant, suitable for all diets.
2:00 pm: Depending on the tide, relax on a sandbank or visit the fishing village (break, hammock, swimming, etc.).
4:30 pm: Return to Saint Georges with unforgettable memories.
