Day 2: Day 2: Memphis - Saqqara - Dahshur
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a day of sightseeing:
the site of Memphis, Egypt's oldest political and religious capital, founded in 3200 BC by the legendary king Menes, the unifier of Upper and Lower Egypt.
It is located on the eastern bank of the Nile, Egypt's capital for over a millennium and a leading religious center. It is also the seat of the cult of the god Ptah.
the Saqqara site, a vast funerary complex containing the necropolis of dignitaries and the step pyramid of King Djoser (founder of the 3rd pharaonic dynasty, circa 2700 BC). This pyramid represents the first attempt at pyramidal construction. It is considered the world's first ashlar construction.
dahshur: the Rhomboid Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, both built by King Seferu (founder of the 4th Pharaonic Dynasty and father of the famous Pharaoh Cheops). The style of these two pyramids allows us to follow the architectural evolution of pyramid design, illustrating the intermediate stage between the stepped pyramid type of Saqqara and the perfectly pyramidal type of those on the Giza plateau. You'll have the chance to enter the "red" pyramid to admire the interior architecture of this fascinating structure.
Lunch
Day 3: Day 3: Giza Plateau - Egyptian Museum - Souk Khan El-Khalili
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a day excursion to the :
Giza Plateau: the flagship site of Pharaonic civilization, home to the three famous pyramids "Khéops, Khéphren and Mykérinos", as well as the enigmatic, gigantic limestone Sphinx, with a human head and the body of a lion, raised as guardian of the necropolis. And the funerary temple of King Khephren, built entirely of granite.
Egyptian Museum :
It's located downtown on the iconic Tahrir Square, in an imposing neoclassical building, well suited to its exquisite collections. Cairo's Egyptian Museum first opened its doors to the public in 1902. It has since grown to become the world's largest museum of Egyptian art. With over 150,000 objects, the museum houses an impressive collection of exhibits tracing the glorious reign of ancient Egypt.
Khan El-Khallili Souk. A labyrinth of narrow streets bustling with life day and night, the Souk appeals to the senses with its mix of sights, sounds, scents and colors. Khan El-Khallili is the oldest bazaar in the world. It has been occupied by traders since the 14th century

In the late afternoon, departure for Luxor Temple: a temple begun by King Amenophis 3 and completed by Ramses 2 and many other pharaohs. It represents at best the schematic plan of an Egyptian temple, with its elegant sphinx path, its gigantic facade once preceded by two magnificent obelisks, one of which is still in place and the other has stood since 1834 on the Place Concorde in Paris...!
