Day 1: Entebbe - Murchison Falls National Park

Steps: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast, we head northwest to Murchison Falls National Park, passing the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary before continuing to our accommodation along the Nile.

Overnight stay: Fort Murchison Lodge (Camping)

Day 2: Morning safari and afternoon boat cruise

Steps: Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, we head to the delta in search of birds, then set off on a safari in search of lions, giraffes, herds of elephants, buffalo and much more. After lunch, in the afternoon, we'll take a boat trip in search of wildlife along the river channels. As well as the excitement of seeing dozens of hippos and crocodiles, we also have a good chance of spotting elephants, giraffes, baboons, warthogs and, of course, countless magnificent birds. We drive to the foot of the Murchison Falls, where we have a view of the Devil's Cauldron, the foaming chaos created by the turbulent waters of the Nile as they tumble down the cliff. We also pass the spot where Hemingway's plane crashed during his visit to Uganda in 1954.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Steps: Queen Elizabeth National Park, Fort Portal, Murchison Falls National Park

After a delicious early-morning breakfast, you're off to Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is bursting with beauty: lakes, forests, savannah grasslands and wetlands. On arrival at your lodge, you check in, dine and spend the night.

Day 4: Chimpanzee morning and transfer to Ishasha area

Steps: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early breakfast, you'll head to the briefing point in the Kalinzu Forest Reserve. You'll then head deep into the jungle in search of the great apes of the Kalinzu forest, while encountering a number of bird species and other primates that call this gorge home. Later, you'll return to your lodge for a hot lunch before setting off to discover Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route to the safari along the Ishasha Road, you head to the Ishasha area in search of the rare tree-climbing lions and other wildlife found in this part of the park.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Steps: Forêt Impénétrable De Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, you'll enjoy a leisurely breakfast before embarking for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is home to the rare mountain gorilla and primate life in this forest is quite fantastic, and there is an incredible variety of flora and fauna. The forest is also home to 348 species of birds, making it a birdwatcher's paradise. You'll stop for lunch, then head straight to your destination. Dinner will be served on arrival at your lodge.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking and visit to the Batwa (pygmies) - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Steps: Lac Bunyonyi, Forêt Impénétrable De Bwindi

After breakfast, equipped with your packed lunch and drinking water as you'll be spending long hours in search of these giants, you'll be transferred to the gorilla tracking information office for a pre-gorilla tracking briefing at 8am. After the briefing, the rangers will lead you into the forest to track these gentle giants that are the mountain gorillas. You'll have an hour to observe the interaction of these close relatives of man. Afterwards, you'll be transferred to Lake Bunyonyi to relax and spend the night.

Day 7: Transfer to Entebbe international airport

Steps: Mbarara, Lac Bunyonyi

After breakfast, we return to Entebbe via the Equator stop for a souvenir photo before heading back to Entebbe for your international flight home.
