The Chobe floodplains, an hour's drive from the town of Kasane, are a diverse area of Mopani forests, riparian forests, ancient riverbeds and fluvial ecosystems. This incredible variation in habitats makes it a unique place in terms of biodiversity. The Chobe plains are bordered by the Chobe National Park, the Chobe Forest Reserve, Linyanti and Savuti. This is where your 5-day adventure will take place, guiding you through breathtaking landscapes and allowing you to discover the region's wildlife and natural beauty on foot. This trip includes wilderness camping and immerses you in nature, teaching you to identify tracks and follow both large and small animals. You'll discover plants and their medicinal uses and have the opportunity to connect with nature, an experience that can only be had on foot!

Detail of the stay : A walk on the Wild side! - 7 days

  • Kasane – Kazungula

Arrival at Kasane airport. Transfer to Hyena's Howl camp.

Steps: Kasane - Kazungula

Optional: pre-departure boat cruise on the Chobe River

- Explore the surrounding area or relax at camp.

- Enjoy evening drinks, followed by dinner at the camp restaurant. Briefing by your professional guide on your walking trail. Accommodation: Dome tents with shared bedding and bathroom facilities (en-suite cabins optional).

Day 2

Start of the Walking Trail - Exploring the Chobe Plains

after an early breakfast, start your trail on foot.

Activities of the day :


hike through the Chobe Plains, where you can observe animals such as elephants, elands, kudus, zebras, jackals, hyenas, birds, etc.

picnic lunch on the way to your wilderness campsite. Afternoon/Evening:

arrival at wilderness camp where refreshments await you.

traditional dinner around the campfire prepared by the camp cook and share stories under the stars. Camp set-up: Dome tents with bucket showers and open-air toilets.

Day 3

Trail Pédestre - Encounters with wildlife

After breakfast in the bush, continue your trail with a focus on animal track identification, wildlife tracking and photography, and return to camp for a hearty lunch.

Day 4

Trail Pedestre - Cultural experience

After breakfast, continue your trek with a focus on cultural experiences (interacting with local communities and learning about their traditions and ways of life).


picnic lunch and on to your last wilderness camp, located in the Linyanti riparian forest (depending on distance, a vehicle transfer may be necessary).

you'll spend the last two nights here, exploring waterholes and pools, identifying trees and plants and discovering their medicinal uses.

you'll have the unique opportunity to practice "forest bathing" for a deeper connection with the surrounding nature.

Day 5

Trail Pedestre - Cultural experience

After breakfast, continue your trek with a focus on cultural experiences (interacting with local communities and learning about their traditions and ways of life).


picnic lunch and on to your last wilderness camp, located in the Linyanti riparian forest (depending on distance, a vehicle transfer may be necessary).

Day 6

After breakfast and the morning activity, set off for part of the way back to camp, and take a vehicle for the rest of the journey to Hyena's Howl camp.

Relax at camp with a leisurely lunch and moments to reflect on your adventure.

Evening:

Free time to relax with evening drinks and dinner.

Day 7

Optional short hike and breakfast before your road transfer back to Kasane to connect with your international flight or other arrangements.
