Practical information : Move & Laze around South Korea
Budget & Tips
For zero won, you can do a bit of sport in Korea. In fact, there are countless small open-air areas with machines for weight training, stretching and even waist-shaping hoops. These are the favorite spots for older Koreans who want to keep fit.
What's very local
A very special culture in South Korea is that of the public baths, spas and saunas known as jjimjilbang (찜질방). Families often go there to relax and get together. An exotic touch: they don't wear bathing suits, but go naked as worms. Men and women are separated, and as you're not Korean, if you're wearing something it won't be a big deal.
Another hall, another atmosphere: Koreans love baseball, and the atmosphere in the stadiums exudes human warmth and, above all, respect. Piqued by curiosity, we don't hesitate to go there for a game to test the experience.
Your documents please
With the exception of ski equipment rentals and cruise bookings, you won't usually be asked for your passport. It's best to keep your passport warm in your hotel room, and carry a photocopy with you.
To be booked
Basic" leisure activities require no prior booking. But there are some that do, such as cooking classes, offshore cruises or baseball games.
