Leave your car at the Moulin de Saint-Pierre, in Fouleix. This former flour mill, converted into fish farming in 1957 had eight wheels and an integrated bakery (visible on the front of the farm inn). This is the first step in a series of mills along the Caudeau and Fouleix, the two rivers that wind through the valley and join in the reach of Moulin de Saint-Pierre. Le Moulin de la Rode, which still has its 8 wheels, still belongs to the miller family, although it stopped production over 50 years ago. Then comes Moulin de Galet whose millstones were used to grind corn and wheat. Moulin de l'Etang is in ruins: it produced rye, corn and wheat flour until the 1950s. Further, Fontaine du Paradis is the source of Fouleix. The walk finally leads you to Fouleix, whose church with Romanesque foundations was restored in the 15th and 19th centuries. The two-storey bell tower ends with a polygonal spire.
