LE MOULIN DE ROCHEREUIL
Discover the history of the Moulin de Rochereuil and its walnut-based products (oil, cakes), as well as its attractive exterior.
In 1250, the Moulin de Rochereuil was created on the Dronne, between Renamon and Lonlaygue. In 1937, the commune of Grand-Brassac equipped it with a turbine and a trough wheel to produce walnut oil (which is still made here!) and hydroelectric power. In collaboration with the SCEA de la Noyeraie in Bourdeilles, Anne and Thierry Mezurat also produce by-products such as jam, soap, kernels, cakes, broken walnuts, jams and even honey. In 2024, the mill is not in operation, but you can still admire its exterior.
