L'Atelier Terre d'Etoile is a must for craft enthusiasts in Mauzens-et-Miremont. Artist Estelle Florance draws her inspiration from the surrounding gardens and nature. Pieces are made on the wheel or on the plate, then decorated in the rough. For the earthenware collection, the pieces are engobed and engraved freehand before being glazed and fired. The technique used gives a rendering close to watercolor. For the stoneware and porcelain collections, the white tones come from the clay itself and the pastels from glazes made on site. The studio is currently closed for health reasons, but is due to reopen in autumn 2023.
