PRUNIER MANUFACTURE
Set on the banks of the Isle, Laurent Sabeau has since 1991 bred Siberian sturgeons in fresh water of the river and of course he takes caviar from it since 1995 (about 6 tons per year). The company is now in the Prunier group but Laurent is still the owner of this beautiful story which is the return of the sturgeon in Aquitaine. Caviar from Périgord is nevertheless luxury food (from €1,500 to €4,700 per kilo). Remember that it is one of the best in the world and direct sales are available on site for fresh or smoked sturgeon, butter of sturgeon, terrine of sturgeon or caviar. In ten years, the site is expected to triple, or even quadruple, its production.
