POTERIE DU CHÂTEAU DE FRATTEAU
A history of local pottery where the castle is at the heart of the production. The clay in the soil is fired with wood from the forest.
Delphine and Daniel Piron's creative workshop is housed in the Château de Fratteau (not open to the public), listed as a "Site pittoresque de Dordogne". A former medieval stronghold, it houses a pottery site founded in the 19th century. Wood-fired kilns, stoneware ceramics and finials. Special mention for celadon pottery, handcrafted jewelry. An exhibition-sale and museum of local pottery complete the picture. Between tradition and creativity, it's impossible to leave empty-handed!
