François Devige, grandson of a blacksmith and carpenter, has succeeded in combining steel and wood in the creation of knives bearing the Périgord stamp. The Périgord knives are easy to handle and round, and come in noble woods from here and elsewhere: boxwood, walnut, oak, acacia, olive tree, juniper. The curves and colours are resolutely modern, bringing the traditional knife up to date. Visit also the Lapeyre mill to discover the manufacturing process.
