EGLISE NOTRE DAME DES RONCES
Discover Notre-Dame-des-Ronces, home to the famous Madonna of the Black Madonna, and its miraculous fountain.
The Notre-Dame-des-Ronces church (1872-1876) and its bell tower (1889) were built on the site of the Notre-Dame-du-Reclusage chapel. It houses the medieval Madonna de la Vierge noire, a statue discovered by children in brambles near a fountain on which the church now stands. The organ, in place since 1875, was renovated in 2006 and contains 1,900 pipes. A crypt overlooks the Notre-Dame fountain, said to have miraculous powers.
