A moving website presenting an exhibition about the 49 victims of the massacre
If you take the road to Pompadour, you'll come to a place called Pont Lasveyras, where you'll find a magnificent 13th-century forebay bridge. This site is also a place of remembrance dedicated to the members of the Resistance who fell here during the Second World War, with a moving memorial. On February 16, 1944, a group of resistance fighters, believing themselves to be in a safe place, were surprised by a German division. An exhibition recounting the massacre of 49 victims is presented at ten stations along the Chemin de la Mémoire du Pont Lasveyras.
