A moving website presenting an exhibition about the 49 victims of the massacre
If you take the road to Pompadour, you can go as far as Pont Lasveyras not only for its superb 13th-century bridge with foreshafts, but also to pay tribute to the members of the Resistance who fell here during the Second World War, at a moving site marked by a Memorial. On February 16, 1944, a group of Resistance fighters were surprised by a German division when they thought they were in a safe place. An exhibition on the 49 victims of the massacre is presented at 10 stations along the Chemin de la Mémoire du Pont Lasveyras, a very moving walk.
