Between the Arena and the Cité districts, this bar is now an institution thanks to its boss. When he and his wife Corinne settled in this establishment more than 10 years ago, Jean-Michel Bouvier came straight from the Paris suburbs. Grand-son of railway worker, he found this spirit in the city and hundreds of clocks on the walls of his bistro reflect a bygone era. He has a varied clientele: from high school students to their teachers via the locals and officials of the administrative centre. Although he deplore tha this area lacks a bit of life – his dream is a bar in the heart of the market – he enjoys chatting with customers.
