LIBRAIRIE MARBOT - ESPACE CULTUREL LECLERC PÉRIGUEUX
The historic bookshop, created in 1956 and taken over in 1978 by the Géraud family, was bought by Fabrice Faure, the owner of the Leclerc hypermarket in Trélissac, the Clos-Chassaing supermarket and the various drives around Périgueux. It thus becomes the second Espace Culture Leclerc in the urban area while maintaining its name, know-how and local offer. Expanded by nearly 300 m², it has been reorganized with youth and young adult sections grouped together to create a creative leisure section. Readers who want to sit down for a while can enjoy the chairs. Multimedia, already well-established, has developed (tablets, computers, hi-fi, telephony, photos). In the basement, the stationery and school department, the fine arts and a pen and gift area. CDs and DVDs are also grouped together, while the manga, comics and comics section has been expanded. Access to the basement is via two large stairs and an elevator for people with reduced mobility. Used books have entered the lobby with a good offer (some can also be sold). Authors are regularly welcomed for signing sessions.
