If you're a lover of Shakespeare's language, you'll be sure to find what you're looking for in this cosy bookshop, which offers a wide selection of literature: over 3,600 references... And to complete the experience, take the time to relax in the bookshop's tea room, where you can enjoy English tea, coffee and homemade cakes. Once a month, David puts on a concert, so come and enjoy it with a good cocktail. On Fridays from 5pm to 9pm, chat in English!

Opening time and information on BOUKIE'S BOOKSHOP
English-language bookshop in the heart of Périgueux, open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9am to 7pm, and Thursday to Saturday from 9am to 9pm. Boukie's Bookshop offers English-language books of all genres and for all ages (books can of course be ordered). The bookshop also serves as a café, and offers slices of English cake to accompany your reading. What's more, the American bookseller offers English courses for those who would like to learn or improve their English. Every month, a concert is organized, and it is possible to privatize the premises for events of up to 20 people.

Boukie's is really three different things:
A place to get new release and second-hand English books, including a great middle grade / young adult fiction and children's section.
A lovely cafe to have a coffee, tea, smoothie, or slice of cake.
A hub for the international and multilingual community in Périgueux. Stop in to check out the weekly events!
The cultural diversity within the bookstore is magical! In the same space there are people of different nationalities such as Japanese, Brazilians, Irish, English and French all using English for communication. A welcoming and unique place!
David and Quitterie are charming and are always looking to provide the best service for their customers who almost always end up becoming friends. It’s my favorite place in Perigueux, everyone is welcome, all ages and nationalities have space inside Boukie’s!
