TROGLODYTIC BELVÈS HABITATS
Guided tour of 8 troglodyte dwellings in the underground of Belvès, labelled "most beautiful village in France" (45 minutes).
This underground site dug in the limestone rock at the foot of the rampart of the fortified city of Belvès offers troglodytic shelters, probably occupied since the Middle Ages. Eight rooms have been fitted out for daily life and to hide from the eyes of possible attackers. The whole is impressive and quite unique! The guided tour lasts 45 minutes (reservation strongly advised), with a booklet-game available for children. Ticketing at the Tourist Office.
