REPETTO SAINT MÉDARD
Access : About 1h20 from Bergerac.
History: In 1947, Rose Repetto, following the advice of her son, Roland Petit, creates her first ballet slippers in a small workshop a stone's throw from the Paris National Opera. Twenty years later, to ensure the development of her activity, Rose Repetto set up the manufacture of her famous "cousu-retourné" ballerinas in Saint-Médard d'Excideuil in the Dordogne. We find models of shoes of all kinds, but also leather goods (handbag, wallet...). The factory also produces other models such as the legendary Zizi (Gainsbourg) and Cinderella (Brigitte Bardot) shoes.
After almost disappearing, Repetto is now experiencing a new dynamism and success with its expanded product range: moccasins, city ballerinas, boots, booties, babies and even sneakers. The brand also makes wedding shoes and offers a collection for men and a collection for children.
Advantages: The Repetto factory store sells the brand's overstocks, shoes from previous seasons, discontinued products and so-called second choice items (with a few small defects). The large discounts offered by the Repetto factory outlet attract buyers from all over the world.
Futé: Repetto Saint Médard, in the locality of Le Martinet, creates each year the " braderie Repetto ", an event organised from mid-October to mid-December, from Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 6pm non-stop with exceptional discounts of up to 50%. Take your time, don't hesitate to try out the items, as they are neither taken back nor exchanged.
