BRUZAC CASTLE
Ruins of Bruzac castle, surrounded by 2 round towers on a wooded cliff, host an annual medieval festival.
The castle, rebuilt in the 15th century on 13th-century ruins, consists of a dwelling surrounded by two round towers, and the defensive part rises 8 m above the cliff overlooking the Côle valley. Although damaged by time and man, its ruins still bear witness to their former splendor. In 1989, Sonia and Jean-Pierre Pouxviel fell in love with these ruins, two châteaux situated side by side on a wooded cliff. Since then, they've worked hard to bring these old stones back to life. Every year, the castle comes alive with a medieval festival!
