DOMAINE DE VIEILLECOUR
A historic site set in unspoilt surroundings, in a dynamic community where well-being and joy are the order of the day.
It's certainly the highest castle in the Dordogne: 370 m above sea level. Here, at Vieillecour, you're right up there with the peaks of the Dordogne department. From here, you have a view of the Vieillecour forest, which rises to an altitude of 491 m. According to medieval chroniclers, Richard the Lionheart died here on April 6, 1199. You can rent the guest room. Right next to the château and medieval garden, 3 gîtes sleep 2 to 8 people. Some can be booked by the night (outside the summer season).
