SARLAT'S SAINT-SACERDOS CATHEDRAL
The Saint-Sacerdos cathedral of Sarlat has undergone many transformations over the centuries, mixing architectural styles.
Abbey church in the 12th century, it became a cathedral in the 14th century, then a church in 1802. The building has undergone many transformations over the centuries: the chevet was redone in the 15th century, the heart was extended in the 16th century and the nave was rebuilt in the 17th century. The portal was also rebuilt in 1706 in a classical style. Despite the mixture of architectural styles, the building still retains its uniqueness. Note the beautiful 17th century organ above the entrance.
