MARCHES TRADITIONNELS
A real Sarlatan institution for everyone. And Mathieu and Clément, the ushers, won't tell you otherwise.
The traditional open-air market is held on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with a general market stretching along the Traverse in addition to the farm and food stalls set up around the Place de la Liberté. Around the cathedral, it's a real gourmet stroll. The covered market is housed in the former Sainte-Marie church. Organic market, Thursdays late afternoon, Place de la Poste. A truffle market is held every Saturday morning from mid-November to mid-March, on rue Fénelon. The Saturday before Christmas, it's an award-winning truffle market!
