LE FOURNIL DES JALOTS
Alain Pichard is also at the head of the bakery on rue Limogeanne, in Périgueux, but also the Fournil des Romains and Fournil du Privilège. The company's know-how can be seen in its dough, prepared, kneaded and baked in front of the customers. And the batch comes out with a terribly attractive scent. Viennoiseries and pastries are made in the traditional way with the same care. The Velours de Noisette, a homemade spread, is aptly named. Throughout the day, you can stop for coffee or eat a savoury pie, a fresh salad or hearty sandwiches. The rope, a long-life rod, is the bakery speciality. The craftswoman is very good too. Sunday is roast chicken day, that attracts regulars here with the good smell.
