This museum retraces the different periods from the geological era to the present day, including the creation of the bastide in 1286. It is housed on the1st floor of the town hall building (listed as a historic monument). During your visit, you'll see all kinds of evidence of local daily life and history: tools, furniture, toys, clothes, earthenware, old writings and books. There are 7 themed rooms and a welcome video, and a room dedicated to medicine reminds us that this profession has been practiced in Villefranche since 1669.
