LYCÉE HORTICOLE CAMILLE GODARD
Created in 1953, this private school is annexed to the service of the green spaces of Bordeaux city hall. It trains highly qualified personnel in the field of nature and the environment. Opportunities are available both in the private sector and in local communities. The production greenhouses, the nursery and the 550 hectares of parks and gardens of the city Hall of Bordeaux are some of the doors open once the diploma is in pocket. The studies are free and students, from the 3rd to the professional baccalaureate, find ideal conditions for their project in the trades related to horticulture and landscape. An adapted pedagogy, an exceptional area of application, a period of 8 to 10 weeks of internships, results and a good insertion rate make it one of the best establishments in the region. The Lycée's mission is to train highly qualified personnel: gardeners, growers, élagueurs, landscape workers, interior designers, commercial designers… Two school collection circuits are organized by high school (access is free for students): Agricole agricultural school or technical secondary school Charles-Peguy - Le Haillan for internal and quays-de-Bordeaux - Gare Saint-Jean - Boulevards, for pupils living Bordeaux or CUB.
