LES CLÉS DU VIN
Château Pape Clément is a Grand Cru Classé Vin de Graves and the wine growing activity did not start yesterday since the first grape harvest took place in the 13th century... The adjoining shop is "classy": a dark grey front and inside the furniture of a former 19th century pharmacy to present some 200 references, one expects top-of-the-range products. The owner of the premises, Bernard Magrez, who owns 40 vineyards in France - including 4 Grands Crus Classés in Bordeaux - and around the world, wanted to make a showcase for himself. He likes rare products, great classified growths, including his own, but Les Clés du Vin is open to everyone. Despite the luxury of the case, the bottles are not unaffordable. The tasting room and its wine bar offer tastings of Bernard Magrez's selection, wine & tapas pairings, but also coffee and other drinks. The Wine Academy organises introductory or advanced courses in wine tasting, gourmet wine & cheese pairing workshops and B-Winemaker workshops to learn how to create your own wine.
