CHÂTEAU HAUT-BRION
In 1533, Jean de Pontac bought the noble house of Haut-Brion. He began the construction of the castle in 1549. Over the years and the owners, the estate continues to grow and beautify itself. Since 1935, the house has belonged to the family of Clarence Dillon (an example of the presence of American owners in France) who continued the development of the winery, gardens and castle. The fourth generation of the family is embodied by its president, Prince Robert of Luxembourg. Here the names of the wines already make your head spin: Château Haut-Brion, the oldest of the first great growths of Bordeaux, Clarence de Haut-Brion, the second wine of Chateau Haut-Brion from the same vines, Château Haut-Brion white, Clarté de Haut-Brion... The fine bunch of Bordeaux grapes !
