This castle, a former Post Office of the Spanish Road, has been owned by the Abelanet family since 1667. For generations, medals, diplomas and quality wines have been honoured. For over 35 years, bottling has been on the scene, and it has been 20 years since the domain was classified as a castle. Today, Régis, Marie-Françoise and their son Roman have the heavy task of managing a field of 20 hectares of vines classified in AOC Fitou. Beautiful creations from old barrel carignans: La Cuvée Roma and La Cuvée Vieille. Its red wines have beautiful ruby dresses and pink reflections, a nose with ripe fruit notes, hints of raspberry and spices, its soft and round attack "looks like lace…", Jackie Bonnet, master sommelier at Narbonne.

Bonjour,

Le propriétaire est accueillant, souriant et passionné. Il propose d'excellents vins et surtout, les prix ne sont pas excessifs.

Nous avons visité plusieurs caves à Fitou et c'est ici, à la cave du Château Abelanet que nous avons été le mieux reçu, le propriétaire est réellement passionné parce qu'il fait et partage ses connaissances durant la dégustation. S'il y a une adresse à retenir de notre après midi c'est bien celle ci ! Les vins sont très bons et accessibles. Merci de votre accueil ????????????????????
