The town of Saint-Médard-en-Jalles is the biggest town of Bordeaux Métropole with nearly 29,600 inhabitants. Half of its territory consists of rural areas and Saint-Médard is indeed a space city. Involved in sustainable development, it is one of the rare cities of the department to have three systems of renewable energy, namely solar panels on 8 buildings, a wood boiler room and a system of geothermal. The city stakes on a sustainable future. The municipality has also set up a digital plan to equip schools with new technologies (interactive video projectors, digital work area, white screens...). The city also has two cyber-bases to favor the internet access for all. In terms of economy and employment the city of Saint-Médard facilitates the linking of companies with the job applicants, thanks in particular to events (conferences, visits of companies...). Saint Médard is a town where it feels good to live with its space and also its many local services, shopping, culture, sport, rich associative fabric, festivals and events, for a high standard living quality.
