Aquarium featuring almost 300 species, for a fun, interactive visit dedicated to protecting biodiversity.
Put on your adventurer's hat and your explorer's outfit to discover the marine abysses of 5 continents. The aquarium comprises some thirty tanks, and nearly 300 different species. Every day, the caretakers look after the well-being of the 5,000 residents, whose state of health is closely monitored. Their mission: preservation and conservation. A fun, interactive and scientific visit demonstrates the importance of preserving the planet's biodiversity. Start your journey in the clear waters of the Mediterranean, then visit a nature reserve to discover a colony of penguins. Then dive deep into the abyss in a life-like submarine. Travel through the oceans, a coral lagoon, a tropical forest and a mangrove swamp. In the Blue Planet Space, change your perspective and observe the planet in its entirety, ending with the 360-degree planetary dome that simulates the appearance of the starry sky at any time, past or future, and on any part of the Earth or Universe. Free lectures on major themes are offered: climate change, sustainable management of marine resources, Earth's unique place in the Universe, as well as special planetarium sessions. The site also takes part in larger-scale events: World Ocean Day, preservation month, European Fishing Week, Fête de la science.
