ECOMUSEUM OF THE ASPE VALLEY THE BASCO-BÉARNAIS FARMERS
Shepherds have regrouped under the name "basco-béarnais farmers", to preserve traditional know-how, promote the maintenance of farms in mountain areas and collective marketing under two brands: Aspe valley and Ossau valley. The co-operative of the Aspe Valley is distinguished by the collective refining of cow's, mixed and goat cheese, mainly sold in thin and large distribution, all over France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. You will discover the manufacture of these cheeses marked with the seal of each shepherd who must follow a precise specification. In situ, a mini-exhibition, an audiovisual show, animations, a free wine tasting and a shop for regional products.
