Nice establishment with bar offering a wine list of Loire wines, Bordeaux and Burgundy.
At the end of rue Léon Blum, stop at Le Jéroboam, a nice address wher you feel at home. Inside, the high perched bar with its integrated convex counters and the warm decoration, casually chic, provides an old Parisian brasserie look to the place. On the wine list: more than 80 references are displayed and some wonders are in reserve! The cellar is international: wines from Loire, Bordeaux, Burgundy but also from Argentina or South Africa. To accompany the tasting, a quality "dinner aperitif" type food is offered on the slate. Platters are available with smoked fish, charcuterie, raw milk cheese, but also mouthwatering and original toasts, with evocative names due to the humour of Julien, the owner. Special mention for Cate Blanchett à la mer (a blanquette of Julienne with cloves, leeks and carrots, on a puffed rice galette). Finally, the complementary number, the PPPCC (French toast, chicken with curry and chayottes), served warm with a green salad bowl. Tempting, isn't it? The desserts are not left out: figamisu (a tiramisu with butter roasted figs, with rum instead of amaretto and a mascarpone cream with cinnamon) or even the Caraouète (homemade Snickers with crushed Breton biscuits, covered with caramel with homemade salted butter, and a peanut chocolate marquise). Informative tasting evenings, and concerts to enjoy wine with music.
