LA CRÊMERIE DES CARMELITES DE SAINTE LUCE
Well known to Nantes' gourmands, this local and artisanal cheese dairy, near the Cathedral in Nantes, has opened a brand new 2nd store in Sainte-Luce-sur-Loire, next to the village church. It is Arnaud, trained by a better worker from France, who welcomes us, advises us. Here, we hear the cheese in the spotlight. In a warm shop, he tells us the story of each cheese (the small, the large, the terroir, the cows grazing the grass in the wet meadows...). Most of these products are of controlled designation but all respect the season and maturity because it is the taste, authenticity and quality that the house wants to transmit. We have the "carré briantais", the "tomme cabriolet", the "buchette du tarn", the "kukulu" and other cheeses to discover. The range is completed by some dairy products but also a small cellar (red and white wines of the Loire) as well as a delicatessen with for example the jams "la chambre aux jams" with subtle flavours. Moreover, the cheese dairy is open on the Lord's Day!
