We had twice a very warm welcome and hospitality. The setting is magnificent and very relaxing riverside and views of the castle. We dined and meals have been very well neat, fresh and hearty. The wine list offers a good selection of wines from the region and for us it was a real discovery.
Especially foie gras were wonderful and point.
We hope to next year while enjoying our holiday in Montreuil Bellay -

Beautiful setting seen on Thouet and castle, pretty, beautiful colours, pleasant terrace, we toured good things in this restaurant (tourist trap) for an aperitif, no side, would be only simple biscuit.
the buffet, not to mention it, it is not case a buffet worthy of the name, only remains, for example 5 radishes in a ramekin on the buffet, the modest amounts of various starters, composed mostly of starchy food!
The main course is better, no taste, no presentation, would be only one parsley tad on rice add a touch of colour. Fish good cooking unfortunately no sauce accompanying only drippings fish in the try dishes, without any flavour.
