Founded in 1979, La Fontaine Obscure brings together photography enthusiasts and professionals, as well as the curious, the passionate and collectors. As a meeting place and exhibition space for photography, La Fontaine Obscure does its utmost to promote this art form and familiarize the public with it. Every autumn, for example, the gallery organizes the Phot'Aix festival, which takes over various locations in the city through themed itineraries. The photographic space, located on avenue Henri Poncet in the south of the city, is vast and bright. Numerous events are organized for Saturday meetings and vernissages.
