BRASSERIE LE FORUM
Le Forum opened on the edge of the Palais de Justice in 1965. A long-standing fixture with a recent makeover, the brasserie is friendly and trendy. A regular clientele comes in the morning for a cup of coffee and to leaf through La Provence, then returns for aperitifs at the bar or on the terrace, where the atmosphere is always lively. To accompany your drink, there are platters of cured meats and Corsican cheeses, as well as oysters and shellfish from September to April on weekends - chosen from the stalls of Thierry, the shucker who makes the weekly trip from the Etang de Thau. Depending on the time of day, and if you're lingering, you can follow up with a meal: entrecôte from the butcher, salmon tartare or tagliatelle with pesto, all homemade. Good choice of draught and bottled beers too.
