SIMON-SEGAL MUSEUM
Museum presenting a collection of contemporary paintings, with a large part of paintings, gouaches, watercolors
Housed in the former chapel of the Ursulines, built by the Duke of Blacas in 1629, this museum presents a collection of contemporary paintings - the Toulon school, the Paris school, the Bourges school. A large part of the paintings, gouaches, watercolors and drawings, is due to the donation made to the city by Bruno Bassano, in gratitude to France which had granted him the right of asylum in 1923.
It is worth noting that the recumbent which rests above the beautiful wooden entrance door represents Saint Theresa of Lisieux.
