ST. TROPHYMUS CHURCH
Neo-Romanesque church with two and altarpieces and an ancient Way of the Cross, restored in 1999.
This neo-Romanesque church was built in the 18th century. On the façade, a sundial bears the inscription "Ab hora diei ad horam dei", "From the hour of the day to the hour of God". The church houses two altarpieces from the 17th and 18th centuries and an ancient Way of the Cross. A large painting from the end of the 19th century represents the triumph of Saint-Trophy, the first bishop of Arles around the year 250. The complete restoration in 1999 allowed the discovery of frescoes dating from its construction. You can better appreciate its facade from the Rue Carnot.
