SAINT-SAUVEUR CHURCH
Medieval church built in the century in Brignoles, housing an altarpiece by Balthazar Lomelin, La Crucifixion, dated 1587.
Built in the 11th century, it was enlarged in the 15th century. The transept and an apse were added in the 16th century. You have to go through the white stone portal, whose columns are crowned with capitals known as "water drop". The medallion on the left represents Saint Paul carrying a bible and the instrument of his torture, the one on the right, Saint Peter holding the keys of paradise. This church houses an altarpiece by Balthazar Lomelin, The Crucifixion - 1587. Near the sacristy, there is a descent from the cross by Barthélemy Parrocel.
