This Chalcolithic dolmen is located just outside Brignoles, on a hill overlooking the Val plain
Located just outside Brignoles, on a hill overlooking the Val plain, atop a tumulus a few meters in diameter, this Chalcolithic dolmen (4000 to 3000 BC) was restored in the 1980s and is now listed as a Monument Historique. Opening onto two pillars, it features a rectangular sepulchral chamber, bounded on the east by a slab. The covering slab weighs around 10 tonnes and rests partly on the tumulus at the rear. The monument has undergone numerous reuses in the past, due to its sheltered structure.
