OLD COMMUNAL OIL MILL
Old communal oil mill in Callas proposing a visit to discover all the material used for the production of oil.
Restored in 2008, this former communal mill traces the history and techniques of olive growing. Built in the 18th century, it became a communal mill in 1932, before ceasing to operate following the terrible olive tree frost in Provence in the winter of 1956. A visit to the mill allows you to see all the equipment: the bucket wheel, the presses installed in their ashlar chapels, the wooden gears, the millstone, the boiler and the underworld.
