This magnificent tower is impossible to miss because of its imposing size. It was built in 1662 to replace the 15th century keep, which was razed to the ground by order of Mazarin. This massive, 18-metre high belfry, built on a rocky spur, has four corner watchtowers and supports a 17th century wrought iron bell tower. It is one of the city's main historical monuments. At its feet, the very pleasant open-air theatre hosts festivals and concerts in the summer season in a bucolic and historical setting.
