ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
Museum presenting the archaeological excavations in the city since the century, and offering temporary exhibitions
Founded at the end of the 19th century by Joseph Aubenas, and entirely renovated, it presents the discoveries made during archaeological excavations conducted in the city since the 19th century. It includes five rooms full of treasures of the past and archaeological pieces, mainly Gallo-Roman. It hosts temporary exhibitions presenting the results of excavations on historical sites, of which the major piece, the two-headed Hermes, probably dating from the High Roman Empire, was discovered in 1970 in the Clos de la Tour district, symbol of the city.
