RUINS OF GRIMAUD'S CASTLE
This château was abandoned during the French Revolution and fell into ruin.
The first mention of this castle dates back to the 11th century. Today's great rampart (late 13th-early 14th century) sheltered the village. It was home to a succession of great families, including the Counts of Provence, the Cossa and Castellane families. It was abandoned during the French Revolution and fell into ruin. The medieval tower and two 17th-century towers remain. Listed as a Monument Historique, it has been undergoing restoration work for many years.
